Spinach with Milk (Špinat [blitva] na mlijeku)
Ingredients
1 kg. spinach, washed, drained, stems removed
½ C. butter
2 Tbsp. flour (sifted)
1 C. milk or cream
Salt
2 (or more) garlic cloves, to taste
Method:
Put a pot of water to boil. Add cleaned spinach and boil spinach until leaves are limp. Drain.
Make sauce. Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour to combine. Do not let the butter or flour turn brown.
To the melted butter and flour, add the spinach. Combine.
While combining the spinach, gradually add the milk (or cream).
Add crushed garlic cloves and salt to taste.
Stir until all ingredients are combined.
