New Council and New Classes

On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Croatian Cultural Society (CCSV) of Victoria held its annual general meeting where members elected the following to the board:

  • President – Mary Colak

  • Vice President – Mike Lazic

  • Secretary – Ana Hedji

  • Treasurer – Suzana Hedji

Directors:

  • Language – Ivona Koerbler

  • Folklore – Manda Ghag

  • Cultural Heritage – Ljiljana Tomorad Cesarec

  • Sport – Mirijana Juras

  • Fundraising and Events – Ivica Kalabric

As such, the new board has already actively started work on several projects, primarily launching language and folklore classes.

This year, CCSV will host language and folklore classes for young and old. We already have several children and adults signed up for both.

  • All folklore classes will be held on Sunday afternoons, starting Sunday, October 22 (start times vary depending on ages).

  • All language classes will be held on Fridays, starting at 6:00 p.m. on November 3.

All classes – folklore and language – will be held at the church hall (4081 Gordon Head Road).

If you haven’t registered your children, grandchildren, or yourselves for folklore and/or language, I encourage you to do so now. Please don’t delay.

If you need assistance, please feel free to contact us at info@ccsv.ca.

We look forward to working with you!
